In all honesty I am not a big fan of Prime Rib. But the Lawry Cut was very good and cooked well. The restaurant decor is alil chessy but the food was good. I do wish they gave alil more cream of spinach.
Excellent prime rib! I went with my girlfriend for her birthday and we both ordered the English cut (3 slices of prime rib, madhed potatoes, cream corn, creamed spinach, and a Yorkshire pudding) along with an order of asparagus, a lobster tail, and a glass each of the house red wine. By the end of the meal we were both stuffed completely and couldn't have been happier. The cuts of beef were juicy and flavourful without being extremely fatty; the mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth; the lobster was delicious as well. I wasn't much of a fan of the creamed spinach and the Yorkshire pudding was a bit more on the bready side (as opposed to the greasy fatty side that I like)but they were both still nice. The atmosphere was very intimate and fancy as well. We had our own booth off to the side and the wait-staff was still attentive. The whole meal for two came to almost 200,000 so its definitely for special occasions but it was most certainly worth the price.
Been here three times, always 'slightly' disappointed. I like the ones in the States better. You should ask for the master cutters with the medals to cut your prime rib. Don't let the newbies handle your steak.
I've been a loyal patron of Lawry's located in Gangnam for the past several years. I've always enjoyed getting a large cut and the servers have always packed up my leftovers with extra sides and sauce. the first few times, they insisted in giving me more to take. the past two times, however, ive dealt with this bald man who is never curt but i dont feel taken care of when he serves me. i believe he isnt just a server but a manager. last time i asked for my leftovers to be packed and to my surprise he literally only put in the meat that was leftover. 가격도 떨어지면서 서비스도 떨어진건지.. today i went and the same bald man was working. i had to call him 4 times and even had to raise my voice. the restaurant is very quiet. after having spent almost 500 thousand won on a dinner, i feel like he couldve been a bit more attentive. when i asked for my leftovers to be packed and possibly some extra sides, he simply said the kitchen was closed very matter of factly. before, the servers would at least act like they cared. i dont know if ill be going back. rather go to 구 steak if the service is going to garbage. yes the food is great but if im paying that much for my dinner, i expect great service as well.
